What data we collect

  • Enquiry and booking data you submit through our contact form: name, email address, dates of stay, number of guests and your message.
  • Communication data from emails, phone calls or messaging apps you use to reach us.
  • Guest registration data required by Italian law for accommodation providers (identity document details of each guest), collected at check-in.
  • Technical and measurement data generated when you browse this site, such as IP address, device and browser information and pages viewed, including data collected by the Meta Pixel (see “Cookies and tracking”).

Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • To answer your enquiries and manage your reservation — performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal obligations such as guest registration, tourist tax and tax records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To measure and improve our website and marketing — consent for non-essential cookies and tracking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), otherwise our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and tracking

This website uses the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. to measure the performance of our advertising. It is only loaded after you accept marketing cookies, and it may then set cookies and share event data (such as page views) with Meta. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings in the footer.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with parties that help us run the accommodation and this website: our hosting and website provider, email provider, booking platforms you may have booked through (for example Booking.com or Airbnb), Meta Platforms for advertising measurement, our accountant, and public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data. Where a provider is located outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the safeguards permitted by Chapter V GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months. Booking and payment records are kept for the period required by Italian tax and accounting law (generally 10 years). Guest registration data is kept and transmitted as required by the competent authorities. Website measurement data is retained according to the retention settings of the tools described above.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data and to request rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact Ilenia Neri at info@dolceapartments.it. We will reply within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority in your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
